The Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco is conducting an online survey regarding your experience, and concerns, of the travel risks and dangers associated with using public transportation. This study will focus on BART, the Bay Area Rapid Transit. Your answers, together with responses from other people who are blind or visually impaired, will help us understand the stresses that surround independent travel on BART for people with vision loss. Regardless of whether you use BART or not we want to know what you think! We will not collect any identifying information during your participation in this study. Your answers will be completely confidential, and none of your individual responses will be made public. We have done our best to make the web survey as accessible as possible. Nevertheless, we recognize that some screen readers, in combination with some browsers, may not behave as desired. If you encounter accessibility barriers in the web survey, please contact Megan Lawrence at megan@ski.org or by phone at 415-345-2006. This survey should take between 40-45 minutes to complete. Please proceed through the survey carefully and do not skip any of the questions. It is important to us that you answer all of the questions to the best of your ability. Thanks in advance for all your help with this important project!
